I take 40mg of Famotidine every day. That is by prescription only. You can take Pepcid AC which is over-the-counter 20mg famotidine. I also use gaviscon instead of tums. It works better than tums for me. I also raised the head of our bed by putting blocks on the rails. This helps too.
