I contribute a large amount of my life outlook and mentality to being raised Lutheran. It gave structure and discipline to kindness and understanding. Conversely I don't consider myself a particularly religious person. I don't have any large issue with the church but don't take much comfort in the same teachings. I'd also find it challenging to raise kids in the same environment.
A lot of the time it feels like the person I want to be and the person I am are incompatible.
