The only meaningful redemption is change. It's not a check you can redeem, there's not a value on it. Akua needed to simply become a person who would not do that again, and keep being one. So she has, and so she is. That's really all.
There is no inherent (positive) value in suffering. Akua doesn't need to be punished to prevent greater harm anymore, and that's good.
